I am researching the history of the tame rabbit. The story starts in Spain, in the Ice Age, where rabbits survived in their last refuge from the glaciers. The ice melted, and rabbits hopped over the Pyrenees into France. The history of domestication, by the Romans, the Normans and medieval monks is fascinating. So is this book, from the Museum National D'Histoire Naturelle in Paris. I am surprised how much O-level French I remember!
