What a place for a nest

Sapphire is a new mother, with a spacious hutch and sheltered sleeping compartment. So where does she build her nest? In the living compartment underneath her hay rack. The sleeping compartment is for her to hide in, so she can spring out to defend the nest when I open the living compartment door! She has two fat babies, a Lilac and a Smoke, curled up contentedly together.

Laramie and her litter

One of the greatest pleasures of keeping rabbits is to see a litter out for the first time on the Spring grass. Laramie is enjoying the sunshine whilst her babies, a little Lilac buck and two little Blue and Lilac does, explore the world outside their hutch.
