The July heat wave was risky for the rabbits. Six hutches got the afternoon sun, and the wet towels draped over the roof and the sleeping compartments dried out quickly. It was worrying going to work and not being able to keep a close eye on the rabbits. Four of the rabbits moved to the smaller spare hutches on the shady side of the house. A smaller hutch as a temporary measure was better than heat stroke. What to do with the other two rabbits? They moved into my cool kitchen to live in travel hutches for a week.
Here are Laramie and Lockdown,
somewhat bemused by their new quarters!
