Orlando was born here seven and a half years ago. He is active and happy, but has been losing weight despite eating well. His last litter was born in April, 3 lovely little Blues who have gone to good homes. He has developed a lump on his right hind leg. Only small, but hard. A needle biopsy at the vet's showed a sarcoma, a malignant tumour. For three days after the vet visit he was off his food and, when out in his run, just sat, not moving. Now he is playing, eating well and running around, flirting with the doe in the next pen. Operation or not? A hard decision. The vet and I have decided to let him have his last summer, rather than have the risks of an anaesthetic. I hope we've made the right decision.
I am glad to say he is still active, happy and eating, and the tumour is growing slowly.
Poor Orlando. I hope he is doing as well as can be.
