In memory

It is three years since I drove to Scotland to pick up Violet, a Lilac Angora. My friend had telephoned me on his way to the hospice to ask me to take her and help rehome his other 7 Angoras. Violet has lived with me for 3 years, and has been a constant reminder of Colin, my friend.

Last night she developed hind leg paralysis and had to be taken to the vet for euthanasia. Thankfully, the Covid restrictions had been lifted. I was allowed to take the place of the vet nurse and be with her to the last. I will remember them both.
