Angoras do not produce just wool!

Keeping rabbits is one way of ensuring a lush garden and a productive vegetable patch.

My garden is shady, which is good for the rabbits, but means that fruit and vegetables are grown in containers against the wall of the house and in the drive. Rabbit manure contains far more nitrogen than cow manure, and when dry, does not smell. Composted with vegetable waste in the Council plastic conical compost bin, it produces rich compost for plants, vegetables, and seeds. Do not waste the contents of the dirty corners of your hutches, but add them to the compost bin and you will not need to buy garden centre compost again.
