Spring

Still sleeting outside, but the rabbits know it is spring. Through the winter the rabbits have been coming inside whilst their hutches are cleaned, sitting contentedly in their separate plastic boxes in the kitchen, and leaning out occasionally to sniff the noses or lick the face of their next door neighbour. Now the bucks want to box each other and the does have to come in separately from the bucks. Even my 8 year old doe is making eyes at her great grandson! Cheyenne, my Smoke doe has been nesting since 10 days after her mating. I am not allowed to disturb her nest or remove her from her hutch. Here she is, looking angelic, but if I go near that nest she turns into a Rottweiler! Litter due
